Dale Trudgen

Dale E. Trudgen, 87, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at his home in Thompson Falls.

Dale was born in Butte, Mont., on April 7, 1931, to Clarence and Gertrude Downey Trudgen.

Dale attended and graduated from Polson High School in 1951. He married Martha Dianne and together added their daughter, Cheryl Mahon, to their family.

Dale worked as a painter, lumber mill worker at various mills, and rodeo bronc rider. He was a member of the NRA, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Turkey Foundation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and ranching.

Dale is survived by his wife, Martha Dianne Trudgen; and daughter, Cheryl Mahon; grandchildren, Bob (Karen) Nelson and Dan (Sarah) Black; and great-grandchildren, Robert and Samantha Nelson; as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Gertrude Trudgen; sister, Nancylee Christensen; and brother, Donald and sister-in-law, Margaret.

No public services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Network of Sanders County, P.O. Box 1311, Plains MT 59859.

Arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Homes & Crematory, Plains.
