Senior Cats honored in Alberton

It was Senior Night for the Clark Fork Mountain Cats in Alberton where they played Seeley-Swan. In between the girls and boys varsity game, seniors were escorted onto the basketball court by parents and relatives. The evening is to honor and thank the students and parents for all their hours of hard work and dedication contribution to sports, pep band and other school activities.

Alberton School music teacher and pep band director, Mike Wolff, introduced the families starting with Sophia Krutilla. She was escorted by her mother, Jenny Krutilla and started attending Superior School when she was in kindergarten. In high school she was the football manager for four years, played basketball for all four years, ran track for three years and was on the student council for one year. She plans on studying Physical Therapy at the University of Montana next fall.

Madison Mask also began attending Superior School in kindergarten and was escorted by her parents, Jeff and Kristy Mask. She was in track for three years; volleyball and basketball for four years; BPA for one year and student council for two years. She is also in the National Honor Society for one year and has been the team captain for both volleyball and basketball. This fall she plans on studying psychology at the University of Montana.

Another Superior student who started in kindergarten is Margaret Parkin who was escorted by her mother, Michelle Parkin. She played both volleyball and basketball for four years, ran track for three years and was in BPA for two years. She also was on the student council for two years and National Honor Society for one year and was a team captain for one year. This fall she plans on attending Montana State University.

Pep band senior, Jonna Warnken, was escorted by Superior band teacher, Amber Winter and her aunt, Ev Schultz. She also started school at Superior in kindergarten and played volleyball for one year, band and golf for four years, student council for two years and National Honor Society. She plans on attending the University of Texas at El Paso shooting for the school on a scholarship and study elementary education.

Alberton’s Korey Radford was escorted by his parents, Donney and Claudia Radford. He played football and basketball for four years and was team captain for one year. He was also on the student council for two years and plans on taking welding at the University of Montana this fall.

Michael Spence started in kindergarten at Alberton and was escorted by his parents, Patrick and Annette Spence. He played football for three years, basketball for four years and was in band and track for three years. He was also on student council for four years, was team captain for two teams, and was on the school yearbook and BPA for one year. After graduation he plans on getting into law enforcement.

“Over the years it has been a pleasure to watch these young people grow and we thank them for all of their hard work. As well as their parents for their continuous support. We are proud to have them represent our schools and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors,” said Wolff.
