Frieda Huberty

Frieda Ann Huberty, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 26, 2019.

Frieda was born to Robert “Bob” and Lorraine Kay on October 10, 1958, in Superior, Mont. Frieda attended school in Superior and graduated in 1977. She obtained her Associates degree taking night classes at Missoula Vo-Tech.

Frieda met the love of her life, James “Jim” Huberty, in high school and they married on June 28, 1986. From their union they had two sons, Eric and John. They moved from Superior to East Helena in 1994, and moved into their present house in August of 2004. Frieda worked as a Compliance Specialist for State of Montana for the past 25 years.

Frieda had a heart of gold and would do anything for her family and friends. Her smile and laugh were contagious and could turn a rainy day into sunshine.

Frieda enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards and board games. She loved gardening, fishing and boating, baking, cooking, arts and crafts, and spending time with her fur babies, Copie and Remi, and grand-fur babies Bay, Mya and Koda.

A fun past-time of Jim and Frieda’s was bowling with their good friends Ron and Gail.

Frieda is survived by her husband, James Huberty; sons, Eric (Amanda) Huberty and John (Tiffany) Huberty; sister, Bonnie Kay; brother, Roy Kay; her mother-in-law, Fran Huberty; brother-in-law, John (Judi) Huberty; niece, Rhianna (Dan) Huberty; nephews, Justin (Tiffany) Huberty, Dennis Peters, Robert Ryan and Adam Kay.

Frieda is preceded in death by both of her parents; brother Bruce Kay Jr.; father-in-law Robert “Bob” Huberty; and great-granny, Frances Peterson.

A Memorial Service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. in Helena. A reception followed the service in the social hall of the funeral home. Burial took place Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Quartz Cemetery, in Superior.
