One reason we fight sewer north of track

| March 7, 2019 12:46 PM

We, the people of Thompson Falls, Mont., did not ask for, nor were we afforded the right to vote for or against, “sewering” the town north of the BNSF-MRL line.

When government no longer asks the people, or continues to do things without their permission, all the while taking more money from them to do it, the government is no longer OUR government.

Those who trade liberty for security, deserve neither. Compromise, like false security, is the plea of tyrants, and the creed of slaves. The only people who “win” with compromise are those who have nothing to lose.

Ask: Who benefits? Why is former mayor Sheets so INTENT on telling us that this “is the best deal we may ever get?” Why is he virtually the ONLY one pushing it?
