MEGAN BAXTER, a 6-foot sophomore, has been honored as a member of the Class B all-state basketball team for the 2018-19 season. Baxter and teammate Jody Detlaff are all-conference first-team picks, and Maya Stiles is all-conference second team.

Five Thompson Falls High School student athletes earned District 7B postseason honors for the 2018-19 basketball season, led by Lady Hawks 6-foot sophomore Megan Baxter.

Baxter was elected to the Class B all-state team in addition to being named to the all-conference first team.

T-Falls teammate Jody Detlaff is part of the all-conference first team, and Maya Stiles is all-conference second team.

Detlaff is a 5-11 sophomore, and Stiles is 5-4 senior.

Their head coach is Doree Thilmony, and her assistants were Sandra Kazmierzcak and Julie Detlaff.

The Lady Hawks had their awards night last week, and no additional individual honors were available at press time.

Two members of the T-Falls varsity boys’ team received post-season honors. Ryan Schraeder, a 5-8 junior, was named to the all-conference first team. His 5-9 freshman brother Nathan Schaefer is an all-conference second team selection.

It is important to note that Blue Hawks Nathan Schraeder, Justin Morgan and Ethan Brown earned Academic All-state honors.

During the T-Falls boys’ awards banquet held March 11, recipients of special awards were announced by head coach Jake Mickelson, who was assisted by Mike Benson and Scott Pardee.

Ryan Schraeder was named Most Valuable Teammate. Other awards were: senior Ben Beauchman, Most Improved; senior Brian Henry, Most Inspirational; and Nathan Schraeder, Freshman of the Year.
