The Mineral Independent reported in the March 20 issue that sixth-grader Abigail Wheeler, from Superior School, won first place in the intermediate division for the Keep Montana Green Association poster art contest. Her mother proudly announced that she recently won first place in the state competition in her division. Congratulations, Abigail!

PEAK Masquerade Ball April 20

The PEAK Foundation in Alberton will be holding a Charity Masquerade Ball, “Under the Sea” on Saturday, April 20 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the White Raven Event Center in Alberton. Tickets available at the Alberton Feed and Supply store or visit their FB or website. Funds raised will be used to improve the Alberton town park.

PEAK Mask Making April 7

In conjunction with this event is a Mask Making class at the Alberton Community Center on April 7. Another PEAK fundraiser will be Purse Bingo on May 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. They will also be participating in the Missoula Gives Day.

Mullan Road Conference in May

Registration is underway for the Annual Mullan Road Conference to be held May 3-5 in Walla Walla, Wash. Attendees can register online at mullanroadproject where there is hotel and conference information.

Dog and cat vaccination clinic

Dogs and cats can get vaccinated at reduced rates at a clinic to be held in Alberton on April 13. It will be held at the town office from 1 to 5 p.m.
