Billy G. Worle, 84, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019, of natural causes.

Billy was born April 6, 1935, in Grangeville, Idaho, to Alvin “Glenn” and Gladys (Lyons) Worle. He graduated from high school in 1953, joined the U.S. Army during the Korean War, spending three years in the service.

In December 1958, Billy married the love of his life, Laura Mae “Laurie” Sarbacher in Grangeville. Billy spent the next several years working in the woods and logging and running skidders. In 1972, Billy and Laurie moved their family to Superior, Mont. Billy managed the Idaho Cedar Sale Mill in Superior until 1977. He then went to work for Diamond Match as a foreman, becoming the Maintenance Supervisor until the Mill closed in 1994.

After retirement in 1997, Billy loved to hunt, fish and go camping with family and friends. He was an avid reader and would rather have his nose in a book than help with yard work.

Billy is survived by his wife and best friend of 60 years, Laurie Worle; sons, Dan (Earlene) Worle, of Vancouver, Wash.. and Steven (Bobbie) Worle, of Plummer, Idaho; and two pride and joy grandsons, Shawn and Garret Worle. He is also survived by a brother, Monte; and sisters, Roberta and Judy.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Terry; and sister, Patty.

Graveside service is planned for Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Superior Cemetery with military honors. A celebration of his life, and potluck, to be held following the service at 323 Johnson Lane, Superior. Always remember his smile...
