Joye Pope

Joye Isabelle Pope (Willcutt), 77, passed away on May 15, 2019. Joye was born on Jan. 13, 1942, in Missoula, Mont., to Edwin O. (Kewp) Willcutt and Lenore (Toad) Willcutt where she grew up in Paradise, Mont., and attended Paradise School.

She loved spending time with her grandparents at the family cabin, which was her absolute favorite place to be. A Plains High School graduate of 1960, Joye was a cheerleader and active in many extra-curricular activities. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets and baby clothes. Many babies have received a cherished baby blanket as a gift.

Joye was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. We will all miss her preparing our favorite dishes.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Pope; children, Mark (Luella) Pope and Michelle (Patrick) Day; grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Pope, Christopher (Morgan) Pope and Joye Nicole (Kenny) Valentin; and great-grandchildren, Dominic Valentin and Declan Pope.

Joye is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin O. (Kewp) Willcutt and Lenore (Toad) Willcutt.

A private family service will be held later in the year.
