Teresa Knoll, 56, of Glendive, Montana passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive.

A rosary service was held Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive with Father Francis Schreiber officiating.

Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Teresa was born on February 3, 1963 in Missoula, Montana, a daughter of Mitchel and Audrey (Webber) Parenteau. She was raised and educated in Superior, Montana, graduating from Superior High School with the class of 1981.

Following her high school education Teresa pursued her passion for helping others by enrolling in Montana State University where she received her nursing certificate in 1983. Shortly after graduating the light of her life, Shawna, was born in 1985.

They briefly moved to Spokane, Washington for a few years before moving to Glendive about the time when Shawna started middle school.

On August 6, 1994, Teresa married her soul mate, Duane Knoll, and following their wedding they honeymooned in Hawaii. She loved going on trips with Duane, one of her favorites being their trip to the Grand Canyon where they had a blast. She also had a big heart for animals, and loved her dogs and cats, especially her cat Haylee and her dog Angel.

In her pastime however Teresa loved fishing and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitch and Audrey; two sisters, Michelle Parenteau and Tammy Parenteau; an uncle, Dan Conway; and her beloved daughter, Shawna.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Duane Knoll of Glendive; sister, Donna Parenteau-Lime (Steve) of Post Falls, Idaho; brother, Mitchel Joseph Parenteau III (Gina) of Seattle, Washington; aunt, Donna Conway of Missoula; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials in Teresa’s name may be made to the Glendive Boys & Girls Club or to the charity of one’s choice.
