By and large, the football teams in Sanders County enjoyed a triumphant Friday night.

Friday night, the Thompson Falls squad rolled to a 62-0 win over Victor, Hot Springs routed Sunburst, 52-6, and Noxon buried Heart Butte, 64-7.

Plains fell to Seeley Swan, 58-12.

Hot Springs 52, Sunburst 6

For Hot Springs football, they pounded Sunburst, 52-6.

Senior quarterback Brandon Knudsen threw four TD passes, all to sophomore Jack McAllister. Knudsen also ran for a TD.

Sophomore Benedict Waterbury added two TD runs.

Noxon 64, Heart Butte 7

Noxon enjoyed a big night, too, rolling to a 64-7 win over Heart Butte.

Josh Baldwin had a great performance, scoring four touchdowns. Quarterback Brody Hill joined him in accounting for four scores. He threw two TD passes, ran for another and returned an interception for six points.

Also finding the end zone for Noxon were Cade VanVleet, Rylan Weltz, Nathan Cano and Gage Hendrick.

Seeley Swan 58, Plains 12

Meanwhile, the Plains Horsemen football fell Seeley Swan Blackhawks, 58-12, Friday night.

Treydon Brouillette scored both touchdowns for the Horsemen.

In other sports, the Plains Trotters volleyball girl’s junior varsity brought home a close win against St. Regis winning in five sets, and varsity brought home a huge win in three.

Then, on Saturday, Plains’ junior varsity’s volleyball squad won another match in four sets against Noxon, while the varsity Trotters won in three.
