NOTICE OF SALE GOOD NEIGHBOR AUTHORITY Department of Natural Resources & Conservation Timber Sale The GNA Buick Divide Timber Sale is located within Sections 9, 10, 14, 15, & 16, of T25N - R34W; and Section 34, of T25N -R34W on the Kootenai National Forest. Approximately 22,581 tons, consisting of mixed conifer sawlogs, are offered for sale. Sealed bids will be opened at the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, 2705 Spurgin Road, Missoula, Montana on October 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed and will be accepted any time prior to the bid opening. DNRC recommends that bidders contact the Forestry Division (406-542-4300) prior to the bid opening to ensure that your bid has been received. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit of $13,435.00, representing 5% of the minimum bid value of the sale in cashier's check, certified check, bank money order or bank draft to be applied to the first sale invoice for the successful bidder. Bid bonds will be accepted and, for the successful bidder, will be closed upon execution of the Timber Sale Contract and Timber Sale Bond. The sale will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder. If the successful bidder is unable to execute the contract within 30 calendar days from the date the sale is awarded, the bid deposit will be retained by the Department as liquidated damages. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. Notice of Electric Power Rate Adjustment Mission Valley Power is implementing a pass-thru rate adjustment due to the increasing costs of purchasing electricity. Additionally, there will be a $2.00 planned increase to the basic rate as agreed upon in 2013. The rate adjustment will be effective October 1, 2019. Per CFR ยง175.12 and 175.13, the Northwest Regional Director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Central Office has approved the pass-through rate adjustment. In summary, the pass-thru kilowatt hour adjustment will affect the following classes of service: Residential, General Services Without Demand, General Services With Demand, Large Commercial, Irrigation, Metered Area Lights, Unmetered Area Lights and Street Lights. The basic rate adjustment will affect Residential, Prepay and General Services Without Demand. The current Residential rate is $0.0683 per kilowatt hour and the basic rate is $13.00. The adjustment will cause this rate to change to $0.0689 per kilowatt hour and a basic rate of $15.00. For example, a household using 1200 kilowatt hours per month will see an increase of $2.72 per month as a result of this adjustment. Other rate classes will be similarly affected by the adjustment.
