Homecoming Week is here in Noxon School District

It’s Homecoming Week at Noxon High School and there are several student activities planned.

The theme is “Welcome to the Jungle.”

For dress up days, Wednesday is “Memes Day” while Thursday is “Decade Day.”

The class with the most participation will earn a pizza party and the top two individuals with the most spirit will get Pantry gift certificates. Also for teachers, the student council voted to award a $30 gift certificate to the teacher who participates the most.

Powderpuff football and bolleyball sign up sheets are in the office. If you have any song requests for the homecoming dance, please contact Timber.

Here is the sports schedule:

- Sept. 26 - Junior High Football vs. Plains, 4:30 p.m.

- Sept. 27 - High School Football vs. Sheridan, 7 p.m.

- Sept. 28 - High School Volleyball vs. St Regis, 4:30/+20

JH Volleyball-Thompson Falls jamboree TBA

In other news, the school is looking for three more students that would like to earn some volunteer hours by helping at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet Saturday, Oct. 5 from 4-8:30 p.m. at the Lakeside in Trout Creek. Please call Sam or Teri Burt @ 827-4738 if you’re interested.

Also, because of issues with different hiring systems, most jobs with the U.S. Forest Service 2020 field season application process will be re-advertised Sept. 30–Oct. 14.
