The Mineral County Performing Arts Council is ready for the 2019-20 season.

Western music artist/guitarist Jessica Lynne, will bring her band to the LDS church for a show at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Lynne has strong ties to the Nashville scene and currently lives in Tacoma, Washington.

Lynne grew up in Denmark and has quite a story to share.

The Jessica Lynne Trio comes to Superior in part by a new grant from IMTour (Independent Music on Tour), a division of WESTAF (Western States Arts Federation).

There are two other shows scheduled, too.

Tuesday, Nov. 19, multistyle award-winning fiddler Mari Black and her World Fiddle Ensemble (guitar and bass) will play dance music from around the world.

Then, on Friday, Jan. 10, multi-media artist Scott Kirby will play the piano along with his original artwork for his show Main Street Souvenirs, with some content tailored to Mineral County.

All the shows are at the LDS Church in Superior, located at 117 Moats Lane.

The Council was formed in 2007 and sponsored a set of informal concerts to immediate public enthusiasm.

In 2008, it established itself as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit. Their performance season consists of at least five events, running from September to August annually.

In 2012, the Council became the lead organization for continuation of an more than 30-year association with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks.
