Several runners from Sanders County gathered in unseasonably warm and rainy weather to participate in an annual fun run 5k and 2k.

Participants met just outside Thompson Falls at the Elks Club. The event was hosted by the Clark Fork Valley Running Club, which has held the same run since 2000. This year it was organized by Sarah Naegeli.

The event cost participants $27, which included the cost of the shirt. The rest went to help the cross country program for both high school teams at Plains and Thompson Falls.

The run had 45 participants, including several students who participated, including a previous Thompson Falls student, Jacob Naegeli who became a very successful runner in high school and in college. Naegeli won the 5k event.
