| January 30, 2020 2:07 PM

Our beloved sister, Esther Louise Hinz passed away January 15, 2020, at her niece’s home in Frenchtown at the age of 74.

She was born November 17, 1945 in Williston, North Dakota. She attended Bainville Schools and graduated in 1964. Esther then attended college at Minot Teacher’s College, Havre, and also the University of Montana.

Esther taught elementary school her entire career in Montana at Bainville, Plentywood, Poplar and then 24 years at Superior.

Esther loved to travel far and wide, writing about her travels, making

scrapbooks and drinking coffee with her friends and family. She spent many

summers and Christmases with her sister Veva.

Esther loved life and lived each day by thanking God for family and friends.

One of her favorite bible verses was Psalm 18:2:

“The Lord is my rock,

And my fortress,

And my deliverer;

My God, my strength,

In whom I will trust.”

Esther was preceded in death by her sisters Veva Hinz of Eugene, Oregon, and infant sister, Joyce Hinz and her parents, Paul and Ida Hinz.

She is survived by her sisters Leona Lewis of Wolf Point, Montana, Amy Mickelson of Superior, Montana, Carol Barr (husband Arnold) of Froid, Montana, Leah Heppe of Tacoma, Washington, and brothers Carl Hinz (wife Kay) of Garner, North Carolina, and Paul Hinz (wife Carrie) of Fallon, Nevada.

Survivors also include many treasured nieces and nephews.

A small graveside memorial will take place in Culbertson, Montana in April.
