on bidding at the auction. Previous buyers are being notified on these requirements right now and new bidders need to register as well for admission.”

The sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 and only one person per entity is allowed unless it’s a family unit for the auction.

“Don’t expect to register that morning”, said Brink as the headcount needs to known beforehand for social distancing assigned seating.

Several non-profits use the fair as their major fundraiser and are now having to think outside the box for creating new ideas for revenue later this year, hopefully.

“Even though the fair is a very important part of our fundraising, actually our only fundraising of the year, I personally feel that the safety of our community should always come first,” said Patti Pickering, fair fry-cook and member of St. Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

‘Catholic Burgers’ have been the biggest seller for fair-goers over the years with the funds being used for work at the church and in the community, but Pickering’s message of concern for safety was echoed by other members as well. “We will move on to next year and concentrate on our building project, which is something that the community will be giddy over once it is fully announced,” Johnson said.
