Thomas Ray Cuddy

Thomas Ray Cuddy, 71 passed away Friday March 6, 2020, in Helena Montana.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, at the Plains Cemetery.

Following the service there will be a celebration of his life at the VFW Hall.

Tom was born July 15, 1948 in Kendrick, Idaho to William and Kathryn Cuddy. He attended Coeur d’Alene High School and North Idaho Junior College.

Tom married Linda Cuddy May 27, 1974, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The year following their marriage Tom adopted Linda’s daughter Candy and they had a son, Nathan.

He worked with his dad Bill and brother Robert for Cuddy Logging for most of his career. He fixed most of the equipment on the jobs and excelled at operating the road grader whether adding the finishing touches to a repaired or newly constructed road or getting the snow out of the way for the trucks.

In later years he worked for TRICON Lumber in St. Regis, Montana.

He loved visiting and socializing, playing cribbage and keeping current on world events. He could be found at any restaurant that served great food; Bengi’s & Quinn’s were a couple of his favorites.

He was very proud of his kids and grandchildren.

He is survived by his two kids Candy Brown of Nashville Tennessee, Nathan Cuddy and grandchildren Megan, Timothy, and Gabrielle of Helena, Montana, his sisters Jennifer Parent of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Lynne Martin of Post Falls, Idaho, and step brothers & sisters, Debbie Morse of Priest River, Idaho, Chris Moore of Soda

Springs, Idaho, Brett Moore of Sandpoint, Idaho and Anne Young of Hayden, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Cuddy, Kathryn Cuddy, and stepmother Lois Cuddy and brother Robert Cuddy.
