Harold Eugene Caswell, 91

Harold Caswell passed away on March 9, 2020.

He was born in Chadron, Nebraska, Dec. 30, 1928, to John Wesley Caswell and Alice Amanda Taylor.

He attended grade school in Ranch Creek and Biddle, Montana, before moving to Buffalo, Wyoming in 1940 and finished school.

Caswell joined the Navy June 21, 1946, and was discharged April 21, 1948.

He married Nona Ruth Smith Dec. 23, 1950. They had four children, Rick, Harry, John, and Vickie.

Caswell worked at American Oil Refinery in Casper, Wyoming, for 18 years and at the U.S. Navy shipyard at Pearl Harbor Hawaii, for seven years. He also worked for U.S. Forest Service, Plains, Montana for 15 years before retiring in 1993.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nona, son Harry and long-time friend and companion, Roberta Kelly.

Survivors include Rick (Carla), Sheridan, Wyoming, John (Eileen), Missoula, Montana, Vickie Caswell, Plains, Montana, nine grandchildren, Christy Smith (Ron), Sandpoint, Idaho, Marsha Anderson, Thompson Falls, Montana, Desiree Ballard, Plains, Montana, Amy Ballard (Ivan Larsen), Plains, Montana, Ambrose Ballard (Jordan), Helena, Montana, Stacey Valentine (Damien), New Braunfels, Texas, Ricky Caswell, Shane Caswell, Kalispell, Montana, Tristan Caswell, Kalispell, Montana, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.
