Mineral County authorities search for missing man

Mineral County officials are searching for a 74-year-old Washington man after he was reported missing from his home in Spokane April 29.

According to information from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, the department received a Silver Alert Saturday, May 2 from Washington about Michael S. Frazer, 74, who has Alzheimer’s, was reported missing Wednesday, April 29.

Sheriff’s officers found his vehicle up Packer Creek outside of Haugan. His dog was inside the vehicle and in good condition when it was discovered.

Frazer is described as 5-feet-8-inches, weighing 180 pounds and was last seen wearing an LSW gray pullover, white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was also wearing a silver watch.

On Saturday, as many as 25 people were involved in the search including the Sheriff’s Office, Mineral County Search & Rescue, Superior Volunteer Fire Department, West End Fire and Quick Response Unit along with the Silver Valley Search and Rescue out of Idaho, and three cadaver dogs out of Spokane.
