Deputies keep busy in Mineral County

April 15

Deputies assisted in locating a missing female that was spotted getting into a vehicle on I-90. Missoula County advised that they had found the female.

Deputies responded to a theft in St. Regis and the case is still ongoing.

Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a semi on Diamond Match Road.

Deputies responded in Alberton for concerns about a man who had a gun. Deputies confirmed that the man was not a threat.

April 16

Deputies responded to a vandalism and theft in the Superior area. The case is still ongoing.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on a porch that did not belong to the person. When deputies arrived the person had left the property. Deputies pulled over a vehicle that matched the description and stated that the female driver was no longer allowed on the property.

April 17

EMS was called to assist deputies with a male who was having a difficult time. He was taken to St Pat’s Hospital.

April 18

Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash near Dry Creek; fortunately all occupants were okay.

April 19

The wandering cow is at it again. Deputies were advised and tried to contact the owner.

April 20

Deputies responded to a theft in DeBorgia area that happened sometime between November-April. The case in still on going and is under investigation.

Deputies stopped to help a vehicle that was broken down on the pass. Deputies called a tow and were clear.

Deputies responded to a disturbance in Superior. A person placed items in another person’s driveway that was blocking entrance to the property. Deputies made the person remove the items from the property and gave him a warning.

Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at Town Pump.

April 21

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on the railroad tracks that was making threat to the railroad employees. When deputies were able to make contact with the person they advised that they would be giving him a ride to Missoula so that he was able to get the proper help that he needed.

Deputies responded to a theft that happened in Superior. Upon further investigation one person was cited and released for unauthorized use.

A report of illegal dumping at Mayo Gulch in St. Regis was taken. The case is still under investigation.

April 22

Deputies responded to a vehicle that had two dogs in the hot vehicle for 23 hours. The owner was given a warning about leaving the dogs in a hot vehicle for a long period of time.

A miniature border collie had jumped out of the owner’s vehicle at the rest area and the owners were unable to find the dog. Montana Highway Patrol had found the dog and had brought it to the Sheriff’s Office so that the owners could come pick up the dog.

April 26

Deputies, Fire and EMS responded to a rollover crash that happened on Camel’s Hump Road. Two proplr were taken to Mineral Community Hospital.

April 27

Deputies responded to a violation of a protection order.

The case is still under investigation.
