Halloween celebrated at Thompson Falls trail run

Fifty runners of varying ages ran in the Thompson Falls Community Trail Committee’s Trick or Treat, Move Your Feet 5K Run and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk last Saturday morning at Northwestern Energy Power Park. The younger runners kicked off the event with the fun run and they were dressed in several cute and humorous costumes. Award winners included Julie Fitchett for funniest costume, Sarah Stover for most creative costume and the Helvey family for the best group. Event organizers thanked Northwest Energy's Noel Jacobson for getting the trail ready. The money raised will be used for trail maintenance. (Scott Shindledecker/Valley Press)
