St. Regis man supports Simon for county commissioner

| October 21, 2020 12:00 AM

I would like to voice my support for Duane Simons, Republican candidate for Mineral County Commissioner.

Mr. Simons is a long-term resident who is a honest, hard-working and dedicated to helping all the citizens of our community. He works well with our other two excellent commissioners to move our county forward based on the values and thoughts of the citizens of Mineral County.

We are facing unparalleled times throughout our nation. Other locations are defunding law enforcement, eliminating second amendment rights and working to get rid of pickups and other vehicles powered by gasoline.

Many people are moving into our area to escape state and local governments dedicated to these goals. If you think these ideas will not come to Mineral County, please think again.

Just ask any long-term resident of Portland or Seattle who have lived in these cities from the early 1970s, and you will hear how some new residents tried to change everything they treasured.

We need to elect leaders who embrace our values.

These are reasons that Mr. Simons and his fellow Republicans on the ballot are going to get my vote.
