The Cancer Network of Sanders County is holding its annual fall fundraising event Friday evening at the fairgrounds pavilion in Plains.

The Network is a non-profit organization which gives financial aid to any Sanders County resident currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner about 6, and live auction at about 7.

There will be a Halloween theme with prizes given to the best costume. Entertainment provided by The Western Sky Band – Dave and Deb Oliver as well as Keith Myers. There will also be prizes during the evening.

Dinner will be home-made lasagna with refreshments along with entertainment, games, silent auction, and a

live auction featuring Kevin Hill.

There are a wide variety of items for the silent and live auctions ranging from baskets to a chain saw tools to baked goods and more. There is bound to be something that is attractive to someone.

This event is the main fundraising event for Cancer Network. With the money raised at other events and the anticipated money to be raised during the Fall Extravaganza, we have been able to once again be able to keep the amount the same as last year – in spite of all the problems with COVID.

For Sanders County residents currently undergoing treatment for cancer, you can get a form at any financial institution in the county, any clinic, and a variety of other offices, fill it out, send it in to CNSC and if all the information is good, we can send you a check for your use as needed. This is an annual gift, but you have to apply for it.

Tickets will be $25 per person which can be claimed as a donation to CNSC since all the expenses for the evening will be underwritten by numerous sponsors.

You must be 21 to attend. Also, the first 75 people who come through the door will receive a special glass to commemorate our 20th Anniversary of Cancer Network of Sanders County – come prepared to have a good time.
