Cole's 93 is a winner at Plains Invitational

Plains’ Kaylee Cole shot a 93 Friday to win the Plains Invitational golf tournament,.

Cole’s 93 propelled the Trotters to a first place finish in Class C over Seeley Swan. Kimmy Curry shot 110 to tie for seventh overall. Grace Horton carded a 120 while Tessa Williams had a 146.

Among other local players, Thompson Falls’ Megan Baxter shot a 97 to place second and Ellie Baxter carded a 106 for fourth place.

For the Clark Fork Lady Cats, Lauren VanCleef had a 114, tied for 11th, and Aubrei Constant shot 126.

For the boys, Thompson Falls’ Kade Pardee was the medalist with a 78. Teammate Tristan Subatch was sixth with a 86. The Blue Hawks rounded out their top five with Cael Thilmony (110), Jessie Claridge (119) and Lucas Allday (164). The Blue Hawks were third in the Class B team standings with 393. Eureka was first with 373 and Bigfork was second with 381.

In Class C, the Clark Fork Mountain Cats were first in the team race with 271. Seeley Swan was second with 331 and Plains was third with 374.

Danner Haskins led the Cats with a 88, good for seventh place, while Aaron Waddle shot a 91, tied for eighth. Also playing were Myles Constent (92), Thomas Anderson (102) and Carter Mclees (104.)

Nick Gumm led Plains with a 121 while Drew Carey shot a 126 and Brandt Snead had a 127 for the Horsemen.

For St. Regis, Jake Connolly carded a 97.
