Margaret McKay

On Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 Margaret McKay (M&M) passed away of natural causes at her home in Plains.

M&M loved shooting pool and in years past loved bowling. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

She was a lifetime member of Plains VFW Auxiliary Post 3596 and an American Legion Auxiliary member of Athol, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald & Margaret Weeks, and husbands Jerome J. McKay & the love of her life Robert (Bob) H. Merrill all of Plains.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Gary) Sheehan of Plains and Dawn Powell of Houston, Texas, three grandchildren, Cynthia (Robert) Person of Glendive, Montana, AJ Jermyn of Plains, Montana, April Beddes of Shepherd, Montana, two step grandchildren, Jason Sheehan of Plains and Jolie Graham of Sugar City, Idaho, one great granddaughter, Waverly Beddes of Shepherd and three step great grandchildren, Jory and Jake Huntsman of Sugar City, Idaho, and Wyatt Sheehan of Big Sky, Montana.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. June 6, 2021, at Plains VFW Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to VFW Auxiliary 3596, Sanders County Council on Aging or Sanders County Food Bank.

M&M will be greatly missed.
