Thompson Falls thinclads sweep own invite

The host Thompson Falls track and field team swept its invitational Thursday.

The meet featured seven other schools from Western Montana, including Plains, Hot Springs, Noxon, St. Regis, Arlee, Troy and Lincoln.

In the girls event, the Lady Hawks scored 136 points, 40 more than runner-up Noxon’s 96. Arlee was third with 85. Lincoln was fourth, followed by Plains, St. Regis and Hot Springs.

On the boys side, the Blue Hawks scored 146 to Arlee’s 111. Hot Springs was third with 88 while St. Regis scored 62 and Noxon had 45. Troy had 23 and Plains scored 22.

Here’s a look at the top three finishers from the Sanders and Mineral county schools.
