Noxon, Plains track and field team compete in Missoula
The Noxon Red Devils and Plains track and field teams competed at Saturday’s Seeley Swan Invitational in Missoula.
Both schools had a number of solid finishes.
GIRLS
Noxon
University of Montana recruit MacKenzie Morgan led the Lady Devils with two second-place finishes in the 800 and 1,600 runs. She was fourth in the 400 run
Sophomore Emily Brown was sixth in the 800 run, ninth in the 400 run and 15th in the 200 dash. Brown also threw the javelin 90 feet to place ninth.
The 4x400 relay of Brown, Irgens, Morgan and Swanson placed fifth.
The 4x100 relay team of Maygan Swanson, Natasha Fisher, Skye Irgens and Martha Klaus was 12th.
Plains
Freshman Jaelyn Carr was 14th in the 400.
Freshman Peyton Wasson was 12th in the 800 run and 16th in the 400.
Junior Adelle Ercanbrack was eighth in the 800 and sixth in the triple jump.
The 4x400 relay squad placed sixth and included Carr, Ercanbrack, Helterline and Swanson.
The 4x100 relay team of Carr, Amy Hill, Alexis Helterline and Ercanbrack was 10th.
BOYS
Noxon
Senior Jared Webley was 14th in the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes.
Junior Nate Cano was ninth in the 110-meter hurdles and 14th in the 300 hurdles.
Plains
Sophomore Mason Elliott was 11th in the 110-meter hurdles, 15th in the 300 hurdles and 18th in the triple jump.
