Mineral County Fair, Superior, Aug. 5-7
Features include rodeo, parade, talent contest, 4-H projects, quilt exhibition, raffle, food and vendor booths, lifestock auction, arts and crafts, pancake breakfasts, kids activities and music every night.
Mineral County talent show Aug. 7
The Mineral County Talent Contest will be held Saturday, Aug. 7 at the county fair.
It will be free and open to all contestants. There are four categories, including Little Kids (ages 3-8), Middle Year Kids (9-13), teenagers (14-19) and adults (20-and-over).
Contestants are welcome to perform, including singing, dancing or playing an instrument.
Prize money will be given to the top three in each of the categories with $50 going to the first place winner. Registration starts at 2 p.m. and the competition at 3 p.m. on the stage next to the fair office.

Mineral RC Races, Superior Fairgrounds, Saturday, Aug. 21
Gates open at 11 a.m. and races start at noon. Open to remote cars and trucks. There is an admission fee for individuals and families. Proceeds to benefit Pool In The Park (MCCF). For information contact Tom McCloskey at 406-493-7429.

Open Monday - Thursday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. “Some seating available, as long as social distancing is observed.”
Computer stations available for one hour of usage.
Plainly Speaking Toastmasters
It meets to practice communication skills at Plains Alliance Church, 505 West 1st St., Plains, at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Guests are welcome. Call Cindy at 406-646-6026 for more information.
St. Regis Branch Mineral County Library
Computer/WiFi access with COVID spacing and masks recommended. Local material check-out with access to the state Shared Library check-out-site. Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Located at the St. Regis School District Library.
New hours at Superior Library
It will now be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Added were things such as on Tuesday's bring your lunch and sit in the new lobby at the library, Wednesday's kids story and playtime starting at 10 a.m. On Tuesdays, crochet and knit lovers time and Thursday is book group. Both start at 2 p.m.
Summer reading began on June 16 at Eva Horning Park.
