Trout Creek's Huckleberry Festival Aug. 14-15
It’s huckleberry time in Northwest Montana and after a year off because of COVID, Trout Creek is ready to welcome its annual festival back for its 41st version.
Two full days of fun for everyone are on tap Aug. 14-15.

The Miss Huckleberry and Huck Finn Talent contest will be held Saturday evening. For more information, call Beth at 406-529-0514.
The Huckleberry Run for Fun 5K race will benefit the cross country teams at Plains and Thompson Falls and the Clark Fork Valley Running Club Scholarship Fund. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Trout Creek Motel parking lot.

The pie eating contest will be held Saturday afternoon on the stage. It’s $5 for adults and $2 for kids with cash prizes to the winners of each age group.
Festival organizers thanked Trout Creek Local Store, Minnie’s Montana Cafe and Harvest Foods for donating pies.

The jams and jellies contest will be held Sunday at noon. Contests should bring their entries to the Green Building by 11:30 a.m. Judging will begin at noon.
The huckleberry dessert contest will also be Sunday, Aug. 15. Desserts must include huckleberries!
