Mineral Co. Fair Board honoring Ornelas

The Mineral County Fair Board is honoring the memory of Emily Ornelas, who passed away on March 28, 2021.

A Mineral County resident since 1998, Emily touched the hearts of many in our small community.

Many knew Emily as the “flower lady,” the person you would see seven days a week watering the baskets at the Superior Veterans Memorial Bridge or organizing the Superior Recycling Center.

In Emily’s honor a special floriculture award has been added.
