Alberton man dies in traffic crash

A 49-year-old Alberton man died in a vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Ravalli County.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 1991 Isuzu Rodeo west on Dry Gulch Road south of Florence at about 3:30 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and overturned.

The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to St. Patrick’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to MHP, alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
