A 20-year-old woman from Santa Ana, California, died after being ejected from her vehicle in Plains Friday night, March 5.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Mazda 6 southbound on Upper Lynch Creek Road when the vehicle drifted to the side of the roadway.

The woman reportedly overcorrected, went into a skid and struck a fence and power pole.

The vehicle overturned in a field, and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.

Alcohol and speed were believed to be factors in the crash.
