Ernest E. Roesler
Ernest E. Roesler passed away at home from complications of cancer on March 18 at the age of 90.
Ernie was born in North Dakota on Oct. 3, 1930, to John and Emma Roesler.
He had two brothers and three sisters. He had many stories of farm life growing up in North Dakota.
He joined the Air Force after high school and served for four years. He met the love of his life, Kitty, while stationed in Florida. They soon married and enjoyed 67 years together.
Four children came along during these years: Yvonne, Ernie Jr., John and Yvette, as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
After his years in the Air Force, Ernie worked for Boeing for 13 years in the research department.
They eventually moved to Plains and where he owned his own auto mechanic shop for 25 years. He was well known in the community for being able to fix anything.
Ernie and Kitty loved to travel. Ernie built his own motorhome when the children were young and they traveled to Florida several times. So many good memories were had in that motorhome.
In their retirement years, Ernie and Kitty traveled to the Renfro Valley and Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall and spring for quite a few years. They also enjoyed camping in Glacier Park with their grandchildren.
Ernie will be greatly missed and is survived by his wife Kitty, his two sons and two daughters and their spouses- Yvonne and (Bill) Yoder, Ernie Jr. and (Helen) Roesler, John and (Grace) Roesler and Yvette and (Jim) Marjerrison along with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister Carol Iverson and brother Gordan Roesler.
