Clark Fork track and field teams are 14C District champs

The Clark Fork Mountain Cats track and field teams enjoyed the warmest day of spring as each rolled to wins in the 14C District championships last weekend at Missoula County Public School Stadium.

The girls squad piled up 178 points, finishing well ahead of runner-up Noxon’s 112. Charlo was third with 111, St. Regis had 45 for fourth, Hot Springs was fifth with 37 and Plains had 32.

For the boys, the Mountain Cats scored 152, comfortably in front of Charlo’s 104 and Hot Springs’ 100. St. Regis had 65 for fourth and Noxon was fifth with 56 while Plains had 41.

Here’s a look at how some of each school’s performers finished. The top five individuals and top relay team advanced to this weekend’s Western C Divisional at the Missoula County Public School stadium.

Field events begin at 11 a.m. each day and track events begin at noon.

CLARK FORK

Boys

Carson Callison won the long and triple jumps, placed second in the high jump and was third in the 400;

Allen Ryan won the 1,600 and 3,200 runs;

Decker Milender was second in the 800 and in the pole vault while taking third in the triple jump;

Anthony Mueller was third in the 1,600 and fifth in the 800 with a fourth in the high jump;

The 4x100 relay team of Callison, Orion Plakke, Lucas Kovalsky and Decker Milender were first;

The 4x400 relay team of Silas Acker, Mueller, Cy Bay and Milender were second;

Wyatt Hayworth was third in the shot put;

Charlie Anderson was fourth in the shot put, second in the discus;

Chandon Vulles was fifth in the shot put and third in the javelin;

Lucas Kovalsky was third in the pole vault and fifth in the triple jump;

Orion Plakke was third in the long jump;

Girls

Sorren Reese won the javelin and was third in the 400, 800 and 1,600 runs;

Payton Milender won the pole vault;

Brooke Bibler was second in the pole vault and third in the triple jump;

Isabella Pereira won the long jump and was second in the 100 and 200 dashes as well as the triple jump;

Molly Patko was third in the 100 and fourth in the 200 and fourth in the pole vault;

Alisha Ryan was fifth in the 100 and fourth in both the 100 and 300 hurdles;

Lynette Nix was fifth in the 800;

Akasha Azure was fifth in the 1,600 and second in the 3,200 runs;

Bailey Milender was second in the 110 hurdles and fifth in the pole vault;

The 4x100 relay of Brooke Bibler, Cassie Green, Patko and Pereira won it;

The 4x400 relay of Payton Milender, Green, Azure, and Reese was second;

Cassie Green won the shot put and was third in the discus;

NOXON

Boys

Cade VanVleet won the shot put with a personal best 50 feet, 4 inches. He also won the discus.

Jared Webley was second in the 200 and the long jump and third in the 100;

Josh Baldwin was fifth in the 200 and the 400 and fifth in the javelin;

Nate Cano was fifth in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the 300;

Girls

MacKenzie Morgan won the 400, 800, 1,600 and 3,200 runs;

Emily Brown was second in the 400, 800 and 1,600 runs and third in the javelin;

Skye Irgens was fourth in the 100, third in the 200 and fifth in the 400;

Martha Klaus was fourth in the 3,200 run;

Natasha Fisher was fifth in the 300 hurdles;

The 4x100 relay team of Kylee Erwin, Fisher, Klaus and Irgens was fifth;

The 4x400 relay team of Brown, Morgan, Maygan Swanson and Irgens was first;

Jaedyn Murray was third in the shot put and fourth in the discus;

ST. REGIS

Boys

Caleb Ball was third in the 200 and fourth in the 100;

Adam Ball was fifth in the 100 and second in the shot put, third in the discus and second in the javelin;

The 4x100 relay team of Adam Ball, Nathan Franks, AJ Jermyn and Caleb Ball was fourth;

Andrew Sanford won the high jump and was fifth in the discus and the long jump;

Noah McKague was fifth in the high jump;

Girls

Rylie Burnham won the high jump;

The 4x100 relay team of Karmen Alexander, Rylie Burnham, Baylee Pruitt and Macy Hill was third;

Baylee Pruitt was fourth in the shot and fifth in the discus;

Brooke Filek was fifth in the shot;

Grace King was second in the discus, fourth in the javelin and long jump;

Karmen Alexander was fourth in the high jump;

HOT SPRINGS

Boys

Bert Detienne won the 800 run;

Kyle Lawson won both the 110 and 300 hurdles;

Kawika Ilac was second in the 3,200, fourth in the 1,600, fourth in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the pole vault;

Austin Campbell was third in the 3,200;

Quincy Styles-Depoe was third in the 110 and 300 hurdles, third in the high jump;

The 4x100 team of WilJames Courville, Michael Marrinan, Bert Detienne and Lawson was third;

The 4x400 team of Marrinan, Styles-Depoe, Kyle Lawson and Detienne was third;

Girls

Josie Uski was third in the 100 hurdles and second in the 300. She also was third in the long jump and fourth in the triple;

Lauryn Aldridge was fifth in the javelin, third in the high jump and fifth in the long and triple jumps;

PLAINS

Boys

Mason Elliott was second in the 400 as well as the 110 and 300 hurdles;

Brenden Vanderwall was fourth in the long jump;

Joseph Martin was second in the triple jump;

The 4x400 relay was fourth behind the efforts of Elliott, Nicholas Hill, Joseph Martin and Brenden Vanderwall;

Girls

Jaelyn Carr was fifth in the 200 and fourth in the 400;

Peyton Wasson was fourth in the 800;

Adelle Ercanbrack was third in the 300 hurdles;

Amy Hill was fifth in the 100 hurdles;

The 4x100 relay team of Carr, Ercanbrack, Alexis Helterline and Hill were second.
