Plains Alliance Church hosts fundraiser Nov. 20
Most folks love it when they receive a well thought-out gift, and finding the perfect gift can give someone a great sense of joy.
This year, the Plains Alliance Church, located at 505 West 5th St., Plains, is having our annual holiday bazaar with the theme of “Giving.”
As always, this is a not-for-profit event. Our goal is to support ministry both locally and world-wide. Items are lovingly hand-made and donated to be sold to the public. There will be crafts, bake sale items, and a silent auction, as well as services donated by church members.
Listen to live music as you enjoy a soup and pie lunch for only $5. The date is set for Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
We have selected two ministries to support this year.
The first is a Vacation Bible School held yearly (planned for the first week of August 2022) at the Bible Chapel in Plains. It is a great week of fun for elementary age children. The days are filled with games, stories, and singing, and opened to all kids in the area at no cost.
Vacation Bible School is run by volunteers in the church and community.
The second ministry expands our reach world-wide.
The Alliance Church women have strategic projects intended to provide a safe space for those most vulnerable.
There are plans for a learning center for young women in West Africa, a two-story home for women and live-in moms, a wellness center for women in the Middle East, resources for orphans and special-needs children in Myanmar, and a family-style dorm for at- risk students in Indonesia.
Your participation on this special day can be very far reaching.
Purchases you make will have an impact on many; donation boxes will also be available. We invite you to come, browse, and fellowship.
Thank you for your support.
