Thompson Falls volleyball 0-2 at state

A very successful season for the Thompson Falls Lady Hawks volleyball team ended at the state tournament last week in Bozeman.

The Lady Hawks dropped their opener to Townsend, 3-1. The Hawks won the first set, 25-18, before Townsend rolled in the next three, 25-13, 25-12 and 25-21.

Avery Burgess led with seven digs, 11 kills, and two blocks. Scarlett Schwindt had 26 assists and six digs. Cheyla Irvine had 16 digs.

Natalee Roberts had 11 kills while Abbi Lane had

seven kills and five blocks.

In a loser-out match Friday, Jefferson topped the 3, Lady Hawks in three sets, 25-19, 25-20, 25-16.

Schwindt had 13 kills and 12 digs and Roberts finished with 12 kills and 14 digs to lead Thompson Falls. Irvine had 23 assists and Lane led with four blocks.
