From where do you accredit your freedom?
Our American founders recognized the source of freedom is from God.
God is Good, All the time.
Inscribed on our Liberty Bell “Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants Thereof”; these words are from the Old Testament, the book of Leviticus, Chapter 25, verse 10.
Old Testament, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy is the source of God’s law: All 613 Commandments!
Rendered down to the familiar 10 from Exodus 20: 2-17 and Deuteronomy 5: 6-21
1 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5 Honor thy father and thy mother.
6 Thou shalt not kill.
7 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8 Thou shalt not steal.
9 Thou shalt not bear false witness.
10 Thou shalt not covet.
Abiding by God’s Law frees us from servitude to any earthly force or bondage of dependence.
As the Declaration of Independence eloquently written announces 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.'
Also proclaims in the 1st paragraph: WHEN in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
Look to the scripture where evidence of our blessings of freedom are inscribed, look to our founding documents where our blessings of freedom are inscribed.
Our Constitution was crafted by very wise men who were well versed in scripture and law. They wrote The Constitution for a Virtuous population, “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Our Constitution was written to constrain government – to limit its powers, to be few and defined, Article 1, Sec 8. Strengthened by the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments – without which our Constitution would not have been ratified – limits government, further outlining our inalienable rights that no government may abuse.
The Republican form of representational government [Article IV, Sec 4] provided by our founders, theoretically allows for the people maximum freedom of self-determination and self-reliance, so long as that government abides by its Constitutional limits.
Since our founding and before the Declaration of Independence was signed, there has been foreign unfriendly adverse political philosophy seeking to undermine the God given Freedoms proclaimed on this continent.
For example, May 1, 1776, Dr. Adam Weishaupt founded the Bavarian Order of the Illuminati which was later instrumental in the bloody French Revolution – and that group contracted with K. Marx and F. Engels to codify their philosophy - the Communist Manifesto published in 1848, promoting Collectivism over Freedom.
In a nutshell, a compliant collection of people is much easier to control that a population of individuals that value God given Freedom.
Our free and independent Republic has been infiltrated and threatened from the beginning. Today those threats have been reenforced by the very institutions of government - multitudes of clerks and officials, councils, boards, and commissions, some appointed and some elected, layers of government whose presumed functions are to regulate every aspect of your life.
And you are paying for it.
There are those who think a new Constitutional Convention to further amend [now 17 beyond the original Bill of Rights] or fully rewrite it is a solution to constrain this overgrown government that is out of Constitutional compliance.
A call for Convention of States now popular with the outraged ‘we have to do something’ folks among us.
I disagree, in view of the perspective of alternative political ideology [Marxism] that supports this action and will work to deconstruct the Law designed to limit government, such a Convention would very likely have very bad outcomes.
The Constitution is not the problem, amending it is not the solution.
Constitution is the Solution; we must demand of our government to retreat to Constitutional limits.
Repairing our corrupted election process is the first step. Repealing progressive voting laws that facilitate mischief and election fraud, so honest and virtuous statesmen can be elected to replace corrupt self-serving, crony political officials the ‘system’ supports. Honest elections are term limits.
The Proper role of government is to protect and secure our God-given rights.
