After missing two years of the Spring Gala due to the pandemic, the Mineral County Performing Arts Council is biting at the bit to announce it has returned.

On Tuesday, April 12 at 6 p.m., in the multipurpose room of the Superior High School, the audience will be dazzled by The Empire Trio.

Formerly known as O Sole Trio and returning from New York City with an all-new program of song favorites entitled “Hooray for Hollywood,” they are an exhilarating and uniquely talented ensemble that has been taking concert halls by storm all over the world.

Formed in 2020, they quickly developed into a musical force selling out major venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Redlands Bowl in California (greater than 6,000 attendees), Ronnie Scott’s in London and over 300 other venues in the United States and abroad. Witty and yet incredibly moving, The Empires Trio has dressed up toe-tapping favorites by altering arrangements in unique and innovative means.

MCPAC was formed in 2007 and sponsored a set of informal concerts to immediate public enthusiasm. Delighted with this success, the next year they established themselves as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit. They initiate performance seasons consisting of at least five events, running from September to August of each year.

“The Spring Gala is the only performance that we charge admission to,” said Jim Goss, MCPAC Treasurer. “The other four are free to attend which includes Shakespear in the Park each summer.”

Tickets are $20 which includes the performance along with appetizers and dessert and are available at the Customer Service Desk at Darlow’s or by calling Mary Jo Berry at (406) 822-2213
