Families from around the county gathered together Dec. 13, for a fun-filled Winter Festival at St. Regis School. The district joined with the Mineral County Family Connections Collaborative to provide an evening of festive outdoor holiday entertainment for parents and children alike. Attendees could decorate Christmas cookies, have a light dinner from the snack bar, drink hot cocoa, play bingo, write a letter to Santa, and take a picture with the man in the jolly red suit. The St. Regis Winter Festival capped off the evening with a one of kind outdoor holiday concert under the schools new big top tent. Decked out in Christmas lights and warmed up with heaters the audience stayed nice and cozy as they listened to cheery tunes played by students and community members. The band was led by Superintendent/Music Teacher Derek Larson. (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)
