Ruth Juris
Ruth Juris passed away in her sleep Friday January 21st.
This community has lost an exceptional veterinarian and
all around beautiful person. Her passion was the animals
and she loved them all. She had extensive experience with all kinds of animals, including cows, pigs, horses, birds, reptiles, cats and dogs. She worked on Race Track horses in New York.
She was gifted with a sixth sense and would diagnose the horses usually with a small exam and observation. When examining cats & dogs, she would diagnose most issues simply by their smell. She loved problem solving, therefore loved surgery. She had gifted hands.
She graduated from Vet school a year early with straight A’s. She was a genius!
Dr. Ruth, as we affectionately called her, was more than a much loved veterinarian, she was a loyal friend. She was extremely kind, compassionate and would generously give her time and her vast knowledge to help a critter! She was an enthusiastic conversationalist!
We have all experienced a great loss in her passing. I believe even the mountain will miss her hiking up it several miles daily!
Let’s honor her in two ways; if you’d like to donate to your favorite charity, she would be honored.
Also let’s share a Dr. Ruth story on FB or a Sanders County website… Share a picture of your animal she helped, or just a story. She would feel honored.
RIP Dr. Ruth!!
