After a two-year hiatus, a popular exhibition returns to the Paradise Community Center Aug. 4-6 cleverly known as Artists in Paradise.

Ilene Paulsen is the organizer and is very excited to bring this well attended summer event back to the public.

“Because of the pandemic, we’ve been absent, but we are delighted to bring this back as so many people have requested it. This is always fun!” she exclaims.

It takes time and coordination to make this happen, but visitors will be able to observe original artwork in so many different mediums that will showcase the artist’s originality and creative use of materials. Work includes paintings (oils, acrylics, watercolor, egg tempera, etc.), wood sculptures and pottery, fabric art, photography, jewelry, etc.

Items you will not see are objects made from kits or commercial patterns and manufactured or mass-produced items. The works that will be displayed are raw talent from the people who live in northwest Montana that are special and unique.

Prints and cards from the artists will be for sale as well with a central cashier who will handle sales so that credit cards can be accepted as well as checks and cash as this allows each artist to devote their time to visitors. There will be some artists who handle their own sales and invoices for larger items are provided by The Paradise Center for convenience.

At this point, all vendors and displays will be inside at the auditorium but there might be some activity on the lawn as you enter the buildings.

Unfortunately, there will be no food vendors this year as this event is starting all over and will build, again, through the years.

If you have questions or care to be a vendor with the other 11 that have registered, contact Ilene Paulsen 406-303-1972.
