Mineral County business phone directory returns

by MONTE TURNER
Mineral Independent | June 29, 2022 12:00 AM

The last Mineral County Business Directory that was printed was in 2015 and it was a publication of the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce. Several attempts to update and print a new one was talked about and once or twice, a few people started but it was never completed.

So, the Mineral County Economic Development Corporation has taken the bull by the horns and making sure that a brand new one is published with the target date of having 1,000 are ready for the Mineral County Fair. The Montana Community Foundation, St. Regis Resort District and Mineral County Chamber of Commerce are assisting in the project, and this is funded in part by the "Reimagining Rural" program focused on welcoming newcomers to the area and to "buy local."

Copies are free and will be printed for motels, restaurants, fishing outfitters, white water rafting companies and other businesses frequented by tourists.

Inside, you will find events, maps, emergency numbers and information that you may not know about. Since the last business directory was seven years ago, there have been many businesses that have been added and several that have left, not to mention a population increase that is still going strong.

Lots of new people that have moved into the area and looking for products locally before going to Missoula or shopping online.

The booklet will be 5x8 horizontally printed with a full-page ad at $100. A half page for $50 and a business card size for $25. All ads are in full color and will be designed to fit the new format with approval from each customer before printing commences.

Contact Emily Park at mcedc.epark@outlook.com by July 5 to place your ad. The Mineral County Business Directory will have a shelf life of two years before a new one replaces it.
