Susan Charles caught up with Janet Hughes during the annual St. Regis Christmas Bazaar at the Community Center took place on Saturday December 8. The center was packed full of an assortment of vendors selling all kinds of Christmas gifts from wooden bowls, handmade agate jewelry, homemade soaps and lotion bars, and tasty holiday treats. Some sellers noted that it was a slow start to the day, but after lunch crowds picked up and business did too . (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)
The St. Regis Senior Center hosted additional vendors for the Christmas Bazaar as well as their new tradition of displaying local nativity sets. Some carved from wood, some crafted from bronze, others handed down as family heirlooms. Visitors enjoyed hot drinks and cookies while they shopped and looked at the beautiful array of mangers scenes. (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)
