Time spent at Friday’s evening performance with the Plains High School Drama group was rewarded with three thought-provoking skits.

Director Terry Henry arranged each skit, giving the audience a unique way to absorb and dwell on the many choices people make in life.

The evening performance started out with the "boxes" skit. This drama is about pressures and expectations.

Jack, the main character, is given a birthday gift box full of expectations filled by family, friends and teachers. As the box fills up, Jack feels overburdened with what others expect of him. Counseled by a friend, Jack considers throwing the box away but finally realizing that the box is not filled with other people’s expectations, but with their hopes and dreams for him.

The second skit portrays a fantasy world where five individuals are awakened with no memories of their lives. Each participant has been labeled with a character trait.

Devious, played by Greg Tatum; Courageous, played by Mikah Cook; Compassionate, played Cecilia Harris; Orderly, played by Kaedance Ciferri; Impulsive, played by Hallie Tompkins; and Dr. Soles, played by Django Oakcedar.

Once the experiment begins the participants realize that to lose is to die.

The last skit portrays in a humorous way the many choices people are subjected to in life. Susannah Lindsay does an excellent job with her obsession with the lonely cantaloup and the many people around her offering distractions in her life.

Cast members included Alex Hordyski, Django Oakcedar, Ireland Corbin, Susannah Lindsay, Greg Tatum, Mikah Cook, Cecilia Harris, Emma Dimond, Keelie Hawthorne Kaedance Ciferri, Mackenzie Tulloch, Haillie Tompkins. The director was Terry Henry and lights and sound was done by RuBea Privett.
