NOTICE Department of Natural Resources & Conservation Timber Sale Advertisement Update The Department of Natural Resources & Conservation is implementing a recently revised Statute change that allows timber sales to be advertised in medium other than just newspaper. The new statute reads, “Timber proposed for sale in excess of 500,000 board feet must be advertised in a paper of the county in which the timber is situated or on the department’s website for a period of at least 30 days.” The Department will continue to directly notify any known interested potential bidders of timber advertised for sale in excess of 500,000 board feet. Prospective bidders can obtain any sale prospectus, sale contract and bid forms from the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, Trust Land Management Division, in Missoula (406-542-4300).
