Interested CONTRACTORS are encouraged to attend. CONTRACTOR(s) and any of the CONTRACTOR’s subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI).  CONTRACTOR’s are not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project, but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR(s) or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the state of Montana in accordance with the schedule of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry included in the Project Manual. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Alberton, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. This project is funded in part or in whole with grant/loan funding from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Montana DNRC, and Mineral County. A bid may not be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above unless it meets requirements and procedures outlined in Article 16.02 of the Instructions to Bidders. MINERAL COUNTY PLANNING BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 18, 2023 The meeting will be held on December 18, 2023 at 6:00 PM in the Commissioners’ Conference Room located in the Courthouse Annex, 300 River Street, Superior. The Planning Board will review the Planning Board Bylaws. There will be a discussion and review with a recommendation to the Mineral County Board of Commissioners regarding additions to the Mineral County Resource Use component of the Mineral County Growth Policy including, WUI. There will also be a discussion regarding membership and bylaws of RAC.  There will be updates by the Planner. INVITATION TO BID St. Regis Community Council has been awarded funding from the Mineral County American Rescue Act (ARPA) fund and is seeking bids from qualified contractors to remove old shingle roofing and replace with rib metal roofing on the west side of the St. Regis Community Center. Separate sealed bids for construction of the St. Regis Community Center Re-Roof will be received by the St. Regis Community Council C/O Jessica Lewis, Treasure, P.O. Box 278, St. Regis MT 59866. Bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. December 15, 2023, and then publicly opened and read aloud thereafter at the St. Regis Community Council’s regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 6 p.m. The St. Regis Community Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the City’s best interests. Scope of Work: The project entails the removal of the old shingle roofing down to the existing plywood, inspect and replace all damaged sheathing (allow for 200SF) , installation of new synthetic underlay, installation of new standard rib metal roofing to match existing roof on east side of the building, remove and replace all vent and eave flashing/ drip metal, remove and replace all transition flashing at sign parapets and removal and disposal of all debris and used roof materials. Qualifications: CONTRACTOR to provide all necessary material, labor, debris disposal and equipment necessary to complete the job. Special Requirements: CONTRACTORS and any of the CONTRACOR’S subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to provide proof of: Liability Insurance minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate on general liability, and additional insured Workman’s Compensation in compliance with State Law, and Contractor ID #. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond Payable to St. Regis Community Council not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid.  Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract. The bidder shall furnish information related to the specifications of “ALL” the products being used. The bidder shall furnish a cost proposal and schedule as part of the package. The contractor shall complete work by May 15, 2024.
