Linda (Wall) Shrock

| February 7, 2024 12:00 AM

Linda (Wall) Shrock of Butte, passed away surrounded by her family’s love on Jan. 28, 2024, at the age of 80.

Linda was born in Butte on June 11, 1943, to John Wall and Genevieve Quinn-Wall.

She attended Butte Girl’s Central, and ultimately achieved a nursing degree from Saint Patrick’s Hospital. During her career, Linda spent time in many areas of nursing in many corners of Western Montana —from Butte to Missoula, and finally, to Plains where she lived for 33 years. It was in Plains where she raised her family and built an abundance of long-lasting friendships.

Additionally, Linda’s loving heart, drive and compassion led her to establish both a Home Health and School Nursing program for Sanders County.

Linda’s faith, generosity and curious spirit guided her through life and influenced everyone around her. Although her body became riddled by Rheumatoid Arthritis at a young age, she never let it stop her from doing the things she loved, including traveling to friends and family, spending time with her sister and best friend Carol, quilting, and attending her favorite annual party —St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Butte.

Linda is survived by her sister Carol Booth (Ralph Booth); her children, Martin Shrock (Lisa Shrock), Gennifer Deschamps, Kevin Shrock (Lindsi Shrock), and Jeffery Shrock (Dana Shrock); her grandchildren, Jessica Hansen, Natalee Deschamps, Kemper Shrock, Madeline Shrock, Genevieve Deschamps, Alexis Shrock and Eva Shrock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 24, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4400 Continental Drive, Butte. There will be a reception at the McQueen Athletic Club, 3250 Hecla Street, Butte, immediately following the service.

Interment will be held in Plains at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family wishes to honor her memory through charitable giving. Please donate to Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), or any non-profit organization making a positive, local impact.
