Portion of Clark Fork River reopened after storm cleanup

| July 31, 2024 12:00 AM

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks reopened all portions of the Blackfoot and Clark Fork Rivers that were closed late last week due to danger from power lines in the river after the July 24 severe storm.

The Bitterroot River, from Chief Looking class Fishing Access Site (FAS) to the confluence with the Clark Fork River, remains closed.

The Blackfoot had been closed from River Junction to Russell Gates Memorial FAS and the Clark Fork from Milltown State Park to Petty Creek FAS in the aftermath of the storm, but both rivers are now free from closures.
