McKlosky named FWP's Region 2 supervisor

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks recently named Kendra McKlosky as the new Region 2 supervisor based out of the office in Missoula.
When Randy Arnold retired earlier this year, she stepped into the role in May and now it has become a permanent position.
“I’m excited to serve the region and the public in this new capacity,” McKlosky said. “The people and natural resources in western Montana make it a unique and special place.”
McKlosky began her career with FWP in 2011 as a hunting access technician based out of Deer Lodge, assisting with the Block Management Program and building relationships with hunters and landowners. She most recently served as the regional access manager for over a decade. Her dedication to Montana and FWP’s access program has inspired her to tackle challenges and solve complex problems.
McKlosky helped form a statewide FWP access team, which continues to address public access challenges and strives for program improvement and consistency. Well-versed in multi-disciplinary issues, her curiosity and eagerness to learn has prepared her well for the new role. Her unique perspective and ability to collaborate with diverse groups, including private landowners, partner agencies, and the public, is a good fit for her new role.
McKlosky was raised in a small ranching community at the base of Montana’s Tobacco Root Mountains, and she graduated from the University of Montana.
A fifth-generation Montanan, McKlosky learned the importance of “being a good neighbor” and “leaving things better than you found them” from a very young age.
Kendra has an appreciation for wild places, and she enjoys spending time outside learning about native plants, spotting elusive antelope, fly fishing alpine lakes, and exploring Montana.
