Travis Edward Deardorff, 56

Travis Edward Deardorff, 56, passed away on March 4, 2024, in his favorite place Jackson, Wyo. He was born on Nov. 7, 1967 in Ronan.

Travis graduated from Plains High School in Plains where he spent most of his childhood. Throughout his life Travis traveled throughout the U.S. finding adventures fencing in Hawaii, raising a family in California, hiking mountains with his beloved dogs in Montana, and visiting his daughters and grandson in Colorado and Texas. Travis was known for his love for his family, dedication to hard work (even with one thumb), and willingness to help anyone. His laughs brought smiles to so many souls.

Travis is survived by his siblings: Dallas (Tamie) Deardorff of Kalispell, MT; Larri-Jo Ovitt of Plains, MT; Casie Christensen of Williston, ND; L.D. Keele of Ravalli, MT; Janita (Doyle) VonHeeder of Dixon, MT; Jobi (Mike) Ash of Angola, IN; Erma Garrison (Terry Rattai) of Redcliff, Alberta; Shelly (Todd) Christensen of Kalispell, MT; daughter Cassie Deardorff (husband Miles Fedinec) of Craig, CO; daughter Shelby Medford (husband Logan Medford) of San Angelo, TX; his only grandson Augustus Fedinec of Craig, CO; his two goats; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Leroy (Slim) Deardorff and Carol Jean Christensen (Flory), sisters Sarah Dudley and Peggy Antoine, and brother Owen Deardorff.

Memorial services will be held at a later time in Plains Montana.

A cowboy never dies, they just ride off into the sunset.
